American Council on Exercise, USA
Non-profit certification body whose personal trainer programme is accredited by the NCCA. Strong focus on coaching and behaviour change, so clients build habits that last.
National Academy of Sports Medicine, USA, since 1987
Works with the OPT model: a step-by-step system that starts with posture, stability and corrective exercise before building strength and power.
European Register of Exercise Professionals
The European register run by EuropeActive. It places qualifications on levels 3 to 5, so employers across Europe can see what your diploma is worth.
Dutch sector organisation for sport and exercise
Sets the national qualifications for fitness professionals in the Netherlands, such as Fitnesstrainer.
Swedish national licence
The national licensing scheme for personal trainers in Sweden, awarded alongside the European EREPS registration.
